As the leading organisation for motor sports in Greece, for car racing and karting, OMAE believes that there is an inextricable link between sports and environmental protection as well on sustainability.
As part of our commitment to constant improvement and compliance with the FIA’s environmental program, we have obtained the World Federation’s “one star” environmental certification and we are committed to continuous improvement of the Federation’s environmental performance.
The special stages of the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally give us the opportunity to consider the importance of our country’s natural wealth and our collective responsibility to protect it.
We can all contribute to reducing the environmental footprint of the Race, regardless of whether we are participants, spectators, marshals, etc.
- Lighting fires (for any reason) and the Historic Rally DO NOT GO TOGETHER.
- We take our rubbish with us away from the special stages.
- We wait safely for the crews to offer us unique moments.
- If we can, we “share” the car to get to the special stages. We share experiences, reduce costs, and have less impact on the environment.
Let the traces of historic cars be the only thing left in the environment after the rally is over.
