Sporting News Scrutineering completed for PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally

The Administrative and Technical Scrutineering of the PEMA Acropolis Historic Rally was successfully carried out at the Athens Olympic Stadium facilities. The seventh round of the European Historic Rally Championship is being hosted in Greece for the third consecutive year, attracting strong international interest. A total of 52 crews from 11 countries are set to start, ready to take on 13 demanding special stages. The rally also counts towards the Greek Historic Rally Championship with coefficient 3, as well as the national Gravel Cup.
On the afternoon of Friday, September 5th, the rally cars of the PEMA Acropolis Historic Rally will gather beneath the shadow of the Acropolis for the ceremonial start. Motorsport fans will have the unique opportunity to experience the magic of the event up close, meet the competitors, and admire the historic gems of the past that bring life to one of the most legendary rallies in the European Championship.
The cars will then overnight at OAKA before setting off on Saturday morning, September 6th, for the seven special stages of the challenging first leg. Crews will face SS “Asopia” (14.16 km) before moving on to SS “Thiva” (14.96 km), a stage that has become a fixture of both the Historic and the modern Acropolis Rally in recent years. The afternoon action resumes with SS “Elikonas” (8.06 km), SS “Mavroneri” (13.37 km), and SS “Parnassos” (13.71 km), all familiar from last year’s edition. The first leg concludes with a night-time run through SS “Amfissa” (11.75 km), after which the cars will overnight in Itea, which also hosts the Service Park.
On Sunday, September 7th, competitors will restart with SS “Amfissa” (11.75 km), this time in daylight, followed by SS “Oinochori” (10.02 km) and SS “Amfikleia” (13.89 km).
