S.S. 7 AMFISSA
The issue with the Toyota Celica was resolved, and Jari-Matti Latvala – Janni Hussi set the fastest time once again in the night stage of the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally. The Finnish crew leads the rally after the end of Leg 1, with Ghislain de Mevius – Johan Jalet following in second place. The fastest Greek crew, Marios Stafylopatis – Giorgos Chatzirigas, arrived in Itea in third position.
S.S. 6 PARNASSOS
Jari-Matti Latvala – Janni Hussi experienced a misfire with their Toyota Celica Turbo 4WD, losing over half a minute, but without losing their lead in the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally. The Finnish duo is expected to fix the issue during the afternoon service in Itea. The fastest time on Special Stage 6 – Parnassos was set by the Belgians Ghislain de Mevius – Johan Jalet, who are currently in second place. Marios Stafylopatis – Giorgos Chatzirigas hold firmly onto third overall and first among the Greek crews. The crews are now preparing for the night stage in Amfissa, which will start at 20:26.
S.S. 5 MAVRONERI
The situation at the top of the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally remains unchanged with Jari-Matti Latvala – Janni Hussi making it 5 out of 5 and maintaining their lead in the rally, followed by Ghislain de Mevius-Johan Jalet. The third overall crew, Marios Stafylopatis-Giorgos Chatzirigas, slipped in the morning special stages, followed by Gregoire de Mevius-Andre Leyh, on the Belgian driver’s return to Greek soil. Alexandros Christodoulou-Konstantinos Soukoulis are in fifth place, ahead of Maciej Lubiak-Grzegorz Dachowski who are having a conservative race. Nothing changed in the Greek Historic Championship race either, with Achilleas Christodoulou-Athanasios Samaras and “Sassos”-Alexandros Mataliotakis occupying second and third place respectively, behind Stafylopatis-Chatzirigas.
S.S.4 ELIKONAS
Jari-Matti Latvala – Janni Hussi achieved the fastest time on Elikonas as well, maintaining their lead in the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally. Second are the Belgians Ghislain de Mevius-Johan Jalet who cannot follow the pace of the leaders, with Marios Stafylopatis-Giorgos Chatzirigas following them and leading in the Greek Championship race. Gregoire de Mevius-Andre Leyh are fourth, ahead of Achilleas Christodoulou-Konstantinos Soukoulis, while further back are Maciej Lubiak – Grzegorz Dachowski – co driver, with Will Graham-James O’ Brien and Alexandros Christodoulou-Athanasios Samaras following them. Third in the Greek Historic Championship race are “Sassos”-Alexandros Mataliotakis who solved their brake problem, followed by Pavlos Melas-Stathis Vardaxis.
S.S. 3 AKRAIFNIO
Unstoppable are Jari-Matti Latvala – Janni Hussi on Akraifnio, they were not threatened and remain at the head of the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally, after the completion of the first three Special Stages of the rally. In second place remain Ghislain de Mevius – Johan Jalet, despite the spin they had on Akraifnio, with the leaders of the Greek Historic Championship, Marios Stafylopatis – Giorgos Chatzirigas, following in third. Gregoire De Mevius-Andre Leyh follow with Achilleas Christodoulou-Konstantinos Soukoulis moving up to fifth place, ahead of the European championship leaders, Maciej Lubiak – Grzegorz Dachowski. Behind them are Will Graham – James O’Brien. At this time the crews are in the Service Park in Aliarto, with the fourth Special Stage, Elikonas, starting at 14:47.
S.S. 2 THIVA
Two out of two for the duo of Jari-Matti Latvala – Janni Hussi, who recorded the fastest time on the second Special Stage of the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally as well. Almost a minute and a half behind them are Ghislain de Mevius – Johan Jalet, who increased their gap from Marios Stafylopatis – Giorgos Chatzirigas, who maintain third place. Gregoire de Mevius-Andre Leyh moved up to fourth place, with Petros Panteli-Antonis Chrysostomou following. Steadily in sixth place remain Maciej Lubiak – Grzegorz Dachowski, without being substantially threatened by Alexandros Christodoulou-Athanasios Samaras who overtook Will Graham-James O’Brien. Charalampos Bousounis-Nikos Giannopoulos are further back, ahead of Darryn Snooks-Stuart Snooks.
S.S. 1 ASOPIA
Jari-Matti Latvala – Janni Hussi were fastest on the first Special Stage “Asopia” and took the lead of the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally. The Finnish crew built a safety margin from the start, having 50 seconds ahead of Ghislain de Mevius-Johan Jalet. “Lying in wait” are the first Greeks so far, Marios Stafylopatis-Giorgos Chatzirigas who are third with a small gap from the Belgians. The Cypriots Petros Panteli-Antonis Chrysostomou are fourth, ahead of Gregoire De Mevius-Andre Leyh. The leaders of the European Historic Car Championship, Maciej Lubiak-Grzegorz Dachowski follow in sixth place, ahead of Will Graham-James O’Brien.
