News & Articles PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally 2025 Returns This September as Part of the FIA European Historic Rally Championship

PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally 2025, Greece’s leading event for historic rally cars, is set to take place from September 5 to 7, returning for its third consecutive year as part of the FIA European Historic Rally Championship. This year’s edition marks the seventh round of the championship, solidifying the rally’s status as a key event on the international motorsport calendar. After two successful events, which received very positive feedback from representatives of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the rally retained its place on the international scene once again this year.

With title sponsor PEMA, preparations for the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally are underway, as this year the event will take place earlier than the previous two editions, specifically from September 5 to 7. PEMA specializes in providing comprehensive fueling and lubricant supply solutions, serving vessels worldwide. Through a strong network of suppliers and strategic partnerships, it ensures prompt, reliable, and high-quality service 24/7 — whether in busy ports or remote locations. With global reach and a customer-centric approach, PEMA is the partner that ensures you’re always on the move.

With less than 80 days remaining until the start of the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally, the Organizing Committee reveals the first details regarding the Sporting category Special Stages. Action begins in the afternoon of Thursday, September 4, with an optional shakedown session for competitors. The process will start at 16:00 and will take place in the Thiva area.

There can be no Historic Acropolis Rally without a ceremonial start under the Acropolis. Thus, the event officially begins on Friday, September 5 at 18:00, with the Ceremonial Start set against the backdrop of the Parthenon, preceded by Administrative and Technical Checks at the Athens Olympic Sports Complex (OAKA). Competitors will stay overnight at OAKA and will start the first competitive day on Saturday morning, September 6, which includes 7 special stages making up a demanding leg.

First stage of the rally will be “Asopia” (14.16 km), followed by “Thiva” (14.96 km), a stage well known from the Historic and the modern Acropolis Rally in recent years. “Akraifnio” (10.36 km), will be the third stage of the event, before the regrouping in Aliartos, followed by “Elikonas” (8.06 km), “Mavroneri” (13.37 km) and “Parnassos” (13.71 km). Last stage of Leg 1 will be “Amfissa” (11.75 km), which will be a night stage. Cars will overnight in the town of Itea, which will also host the Service Park.

On the morning of Sunday, September 7, competitors will compete once again on “Amfissa” (11.75 km), this time in daylight. They will then head to “Oinochori” (11.59 km), “Amfikleia” (13.89 km), followed by an intermediate service in Amfikleia. The day continues with “Elateia-Zeli” (11.65 km), “Amfikleia” (13.89 km) and ends with a second run of “Oinochori” (11.59 km).

The Finish Ceremony will take place at 17:30 at the forecourt of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi, followed by the Prize Giving Ceremony at the Frynichos Theatre at 18:30.

The PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally consists of a total of 13 special stages, covering 160.73 competitive kilometers. The total distance of the rally is 720.57 kilometers.

The Hellenic Motorsport Federation (OMAE), in cooperation with SUPERFAST FERRIES, has once again secured a discount for the transport of passengers and vehicles with trailers from Italy to Greece for competitors in the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally. SUPERFAST FERRIES, as the official transportation sponsor of the event, offers a 30% discount on transport for passengers, trucks, private vehicles, and trailers, in cabins (depending on availability) for travel from Ancona/Bari/Venice to Igoumenitsa/Patras and return, from Friday, 29/08/25 until Tuesday, 09/09/25.
