Regularity category of the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally will go through the beauties of Greece this year, with the event taking place from September 4 to 7. This specific category is aimed at owners of beautiful cars from the past, who compete with the goal of absolute precision and the fewest possible penalty points. It is an adventure-type race that requires strategy and attracts dozens of teams from abroad every year, who visit Greece to discover the beauty and history of our country.
The planning of the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally – Regularity and the selection of routes and special stages was done with respect for the historic cars, with the race once again timed this year using a satellite system with 1/10 second accuracy.
On the afternoon of Thursday, September 4, at 16:00, the Administrative and Technical Scrutineering will begin at the premises of the Athens Olympic Sports Complex (OAKA), with the official start of the race scheduled for Friday, September 5, at 13:00, beneath the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis. Then, crews will pass through beautiful locations in the Peloponnese and complete the first leg in Ancient Olympia, where they will spend the night at the Arty Grand Hotel. A dinner at the Touris Club will follow. The total length of the first day is 340 kilometers.
On the morning of Saturday, September 6, competitors will start from the pedestrian street in front of the Ancient Olympia Town Hall and, after nearly 400 kilometers, will end up in the beautiful town of Karpenisi, where they will stay overnight at the Hotel Spa Montana. Dinner will be offered to participants at the same venue.
The third and final leg of the race will start from Karpenisi on the morning of Sunday, September 7, and will conclude at the European Cultural Center of Delphi at 16:30, where the finish of the race will take place. Crews will be required to cover 320 kilometers in the third leg of the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally Regularity.
The race counts towards the Greek National Regularity Championship with a coefficient of 2, and the participation fee includes dinner and accommodation for both Friday and Saturday night, as well as snack provision during the race.
