Regularity News PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally Regularity: The Adventure Begins!

In an iconic setting, beneath the shadow of the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis, the ceremonial start took place at midday on Friday, September 5th. The jewels of the past shone brightly in the heart of the capital, marking the start of the Regularity category of the PEMA Acropolis Historic Rally. Competitors are now set to battle for precision across 28 demanding tests, covering more than 1,000 kilometers through beautiful and undiscovered corners of Greece.

The first leg continues in Corinth, where the city’s central square will host a festive restart of the rally, with the local community welcoming the crews. A pioneering Calibration Test will then follow—non-competitive and not counting toward the classification. From there, the rally caravan heads to Achaia and the seaside town of Akrata, before passing through places such as Kleitoria, Kontovazaina, and the Erymanthos Bridge, finally reaching Ancient Olympia—a city that embodies the roots of global sport and culture. The evening of Leg 1 will conclude with dinner for the crews and a local celebration attended by regional officials.

On Saturday, September 6th, Leg 2 will start in historic Ancient Olympia. A true highlight will be the marathon night stage of over 40 kilometers around the imposing Velouchi mountain range—an exceptional challenge and unique experience for participants. The day will close in the most fitting way, with the caravan arriving late in the evening at Karpenisi, one of Greece’s most enchanting mountain destinations. Nestled in the mountains of Evrytania, crews will enjoy genuine Greek hospitality in a town that blends tradition with natural beauty.

On Sunday, September 7th, the final leg begins at 09:00 from Karpenisi, taking competitors through breathtaking routes where historic cars cross landscapes of wild beauty and serene mountain scenery. As they descend into Phocis, they will pass through villages of great charm and history, including Krikelo, Domnista, and Arachova. The rally will conclude in the legendary Delphi, the place the ancient Greeks regarded as the “navel of the world.” Within this setting of unmatched historical and natural significance—where tradition, mythology, and the land’s energy remain alive for centuries—the PEMA Acropolis Historic Rally Regularity will come to a close.

The prize-giving ceremony for the winners will take place at the European Cultural Centre of Delphi, at the Frýnichos Theatre, on Sunday at 18:30, offering a prestigious and celebratory conclusion to the event.
