News & Articles PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally Regularity: The final countdown!

The route for the 2025 PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally Regularity has been finalized, setting the stage for the third round of the Greek Regularity Championship. This year’s edition carries extra weight, awarding double points thanks to its coefficient 2.0.
Organizers have carefully crafted the itinerary with respect for the iconic cars of the past, creating not just a rally but a journey through Greece’s hidden treasures. Competitors will traverse eight regions, blending motorsport precision with stunning landscapes and historic landmarks.
From the Acropolis to Ancient Olympia
The action begins on Thursday, September 4, with scrutineering at the Hellenic Motorsport Federation facilities in Athens. A day later, on Friday, September 5 at 13:00, the ceremonial start will take place beneath the iconic Acropolis. From there, crews will head to Korinthos for a festive restart in the city’s central square before tackling a special calibration stage. The opening leg then winds its way through Akrata, Kleitoria, and Kontovazaina, before concluding in Ancient Olympia – a site that embodies the very origins of sport and culture. Local celebrations will cap off the first day, with competitors treated to Greek hospitality.
Crossing Bridges and Mountains
Saturday, September 6 sees the rally leave Ancient Olympia and snake through the Achaia region before crossing the breathtaking Rio–Antirrio Bridge, a modern engineering marvel linking the Peloponnese with Western Greece. From there, the route climbs into Aitoloakarnania and the mountainous villages of Evrytania, highlighted by a marathon 40-kilometer night stage around the Velouchi mountain range. The leg ends in Karpenisi, one of Greece’s most picturesque mountain towns, where participants will enjoy traditional local warmth and scenery.
The Grand Finale in Delphi
On Sunday morning, September 7, the cars depart Karpenisi for the final leg. The route leads through villages such as Krikelo, Domnista, and the alpine jewel of Arachova before the rally reaches its legendary finish in Delphi – once considered by the ancient Greeks as the “navel of the world.” Against this backdrop of mythology, history, and breathtaking natural beauty, the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally Regularity will draw to a close.
The winners will be crowned later that evening at the European Cultural Centre of Delphi, during a prize-giving ceremony at the Frýnichos Theatre.
A Rally Beyond Motorsport
Spanning more than 1,000 kilometers – with 423 of them across 28 timed regularity tests – the 2025 edition offers not only a demanding sporting challenge but also an unforgettable cultural journey through the heart of Greece.
